"Sugar" features a new Smith College Museum of Art site-specific installation by the Cuban-born artist Maria Magdalena Campos-Pons on the theme of sugar, which has complex personal ramifications for her family history and far-reaching cultural and political implications through sugar's association with the Atlantic slave trade.
