Join us for a performance created using oral history interviews of Cape Verdean and African American union members that tells the untold stories of Rhode Island's labor struggles and culture through the experiences of the members of ILA #1329. The union, founded during the depression and linked to the African American civil rights movement, has a rich history including struggles against shippers, employment discrimination, and union busting.
