Tuesday, April 23, 2019 – Wednesday, April 24, 2019
Join us for part of the Cross-Cultural Perceptions vs. Reality project, engaging the student body and general public in actual conversations with people from around the world, focused on the experiences of immigrants and refugees, using Portals. Portals are immersive spaces that connect people separated by distance and difference. By entering a Portal, you'll come face-to-face with someone in a distant place as though you were in the same room. Students will participate in the program through fall of 2019, but we are thrilled to offer a taste of the Portal experience to the community in April. Connections will be offered during the school day for students (4/23 at 8-10 AM and 12-2 PM, and 4/24 at 8-10 AM and 12-2 PM); interested individuals are welcome to contact Kevin McGrath about observing them.
