Take some time to dive deeper into Mike Pouliot's story about working in furniture manufacturing for over 35 years! Mike's book is short, and gets to the heart of what having meaningful work and losing that work means for an individual and community. In this very informal discussion, everyone is welcome to share similar or different experiences, ask questions, talk about what his story means to you, or just listen. Mike will be there to answer question and chat. You do not need to have read his book to participate and listen. If you would like to read it, you can get the book by volunteering for 3 hours at the Chair City Community Workshop or donating $50 to the project. You can also sit and read it during open hours at the Heywood Memorial Library in the local history room or in the Chair City Community Workshop.
