The Public Humanist contributor: Jill Silos

Jill Silos, Ph.D. is Associate Professor of History at Massachusetts Bay Community College. Her research focuses on the history of civil rights and civil liberties, as well as cultural, political and historical theory. Her forthcoming book, Everybody Get Together, The Politics of the Counterculture, is a study of freedom of assembly in the 1960s and will be published by the University of New Mexico Press. She is also an experienced diversity educator, and has written for the education arm of the Southern Poverty Law Center, Teaching Tolerance, as well as The Chronicle of Higher Education and The Century Foundation.
