Humanities Lab: Worcester

Join Mass Humanities for a reception and conversation about the state of the humanities in Worcester

Mass Humanities will host an evening filled with networking, discussion, and talks by three Worcester institutions that were awarded funding in 2019. David Conner of Worcester Historical Museum, Sarah Michaels of Clark University, and Doreen Samuels of Worcester Clemente will speak about their awarded local programs and projects.

Brian Boyles, Executive Director of Mass Humanities, will discuss how the grantees and their projects impact the humanities at the local level, with funding of over $190,000 awarded to Worcester organizations between 2016 and 2019.

A reception will take place between 6pm – 7pm and will include catering and live music performed by Jose Castillo with opening remarks by event co-hosts from the Mass Humanities Board: Hilda Ramirez, Exec. Director, Latino Education Institute, Ramon Borges-Mendez from Clark University, and Glynda Benham, Mass Humanities Board Treasurer.
