Immigrant Women in the Struggle to Win the Vote

April 28 @ 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM EDT

Funded by Mass Humanities
Cost: Free

A panel discussion on the subject of immigrant women and their role in winning suffrage for women in 1920 is a topic of considerable interest but little discussed. With the victory of the passing of the 19th amendment in 1920, how much of that victory do we owe to European immigrant women? Or was there any significant contribution and if so, was the contribution from the labor movement or other social movements, like temperance or other entities, like immigrant church-going women? Panelists information to be available soon.
