The purpose of this event is to commemorate the International Day for the Abolition of Slavery and to raise awareness about contemporary forms of slavery such as human trafficking, sexual exploitation, forced marriage, etc. This bilingual (English-Spanish) program is intended for adults and youth adults. It will begin with a reading and discussion of the speech "What is the Fourth of July to the Slave?" by Frederick Douglass.
