“Voices and Votes: Democracy in America” is a world-class exhibition curated by the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street program. Mass Humanities awarded grants to six rural towns in Massachusetts to bring the exhibition to their town halls, community centers, museums, libraries, and schools in 2025-2026.

“Voices and Votes” debuted at Mohawk Trail Regional School in Buckland on April 17, 2025. Watch this brief video of the opening night to hear from students, teachers, and more about why engaging with history is important.
