David has been chief executive officer of the foundation since 1985. He has a BA from Clark University and MA and PhD degrees from Rutgers University, all in Philosophy. David has taught at Rutgers College, the University of Wyoming, Mount Holyoke College, and Amherst College and is the editor of an anthology, Reflecting on Values, The Unity and Diversity of the Humanities. In 2017 David received the Commonwealth Award for Leadership in recognition of his extraordinary service to the cause of using the humanities to improve civic life in Massachusetts.
Jeannemarie Tobin, Development Assistant
Jeannemarie is the Development Assistant. She supports fundraising efforts by entering data, producing acknowledgement letters, assembling mailings, and performing other tasks.
