Tim received a BA in English and Philosophy from Syracuse University and a certificate in Professional Writing and Technical Communication from UMass Amherst.
Carolyn Cushing, Associate Director of Development

Carolyn manages the annual fund and coordinates fundraising appeals, proposal writing, and special events. Carolyn received a BA in international studies from Marlboro College and a MS in Management from Antioch New England University.
Deepika Fernandes, Fiscal Officer

Deepika is the Fiscal Officer. She manages accounting, budgeting, human resources and all of the Foundation’s financial systems.
Abbye Meyer, Director of Grants

Abbye guides grant applicants through the application process and manages the Family Adventures in Reading program. She brings with her a PhD in English from the University of Connecticut, an MPhil in American Studies from the University of Glasgow, and an AB in English and Creative Writing from Dartmouth College.
Anne Rogers, Director of Operations

Anne assesses the efficiency of organizational procedures and systems. She manages human resources. She also oversees the website, the database, email communications, and manages the IT needs for the office. Anne received a BA in philosophy at Mount Holyoke College.
Rose Sackey-Milligan, Senior Program Officer

Rose guides grant applicants through the application process and manages the Literature & Medicine program. Rose has a BA in Social Science from the University of the Virgin Islands and a MA and PhD in Anthropology both from the University of Connecticut.
John Sieracki, Director of Development & Communications

John represents Mass Humanities in donor relations and oversees all aspects of Development and Communications. He coordinates Mass Humanities’ Inspire Campaign to endow our Fund for New Communities. He earned his BA in English from the University of Delaware.
David Tebaldi, Executive Director

David has been chief executive officer of the foundation since 1985. He has a BA from Clark University and MA and PhD degrees from Rutgers University, all in Philosophy. David has taught at Rutgers College, the University of Wyoming, Mount Holyoke College, and Amherst College and is the editor of an anthology, Reflecting on Values, The Unity and Diversity of the Humanities. In 2017 David received the Commonwealth Award for Leadership in recognition of his extraordinary service to the cause of using the humanities to improve civic life in Massachusetts.
Jeannemarie Tobin, Administrative Assistant

Jeannemarie is the Administrative Assistant. She supports fundraising efforts by entering data, producing acknowledgement letters, assembling mailings, and supports grants and programs by entering data and performing other tasks.
Melissa Wheaton, Grants Officer

Melissa manages and guides grant applicants through the application process, and she handles grant questions, contact information, calendar items, and office matters. She has a BA in Biology/Psychology from Wells College.
