The humanities belong at the center of climate change policies and decisions. Together, we must imagine, evaluate, and choose the most ethical pathways for our hometowns and our state. The stories and wisdom generated through public engagement with the humanities offer essential data as we calculate risks and develop mitigation strategies. We need more opportunities to talk about what may be lost, what must be saved, and how our lives will change in response to climate change.
