Alex Creighton

Director of Operations and Financial Administration

Alex is a company founder and general manager with 10+ years experience running her own company, followed by graduate studies in business, finance, and sustainability. She works at the intersection of sustainability, social impact, and business.

Sustainability means fostering a healthy interrelationship among the organization, its employees, the wider community, and the environment. With this in mind, Alex uses her business management skills to help purpose-driven organizations manage their impacts while meeting their goals.

Prior to joining the team at Mass Humanities, Alex led a consulting company that provided operations and finance projects to help early-stage businesses and nonprofits clear obstacles to growth. Through sound financial management, efficient operations strategy, and effective performance metrics and KPIs, she drove consistent profitability over ten years, while centering sustainable business strategies.

In 2022, Alex sold her book of business to pursue an MBA at the University of Massachusetts Amherst’s Isenberg School of Management, where she focused on sustainable business and finance. She graduated with highest honors in February 2024.
