Jess Rivera, a student in the Clemente Course in the Humanities, is not only a contributing author to Clementinos: Voices from the Clemente Writing Project, but also the book’s cover artist. In this video she breaks down the symbolism of her illustration, from representing different national flags, to sketching Roberto Clemente, to portraying the many different ways Clemente students approached writing their poems and essays.
